A little Japanese inspiration

When I was asked by Kuretake to make something for their Frankfurt fair I thought long and hard about what I would make but I kept coming back to the thing which makes me the most happy and that is, a mixed media junk style mini.

I collected bits and pieces from around and about and put together my mini with a Japanese theme. On the blog at the moment I have a little tutorial showing how I put together the origami bookmark which went into the book. I found it on a website called Kimono Reincarnate and I haven't stopped making them since.

Here's a look at my mini, sorry there's so much of it:

I used card, acetate, fabric, packaging and loads and loads of Kuretake papers and pens.
