I've just arrived home again after spending the past week in the UK saying goodbye to my poor Mum who sadly lost her fight with cancer a couple of weeks ago.
It was the saddest time of my life to date and suppose it'll take a long while for this grief to ease. I'd like to take this opportunity to say thank you to everyone who has supported me over the past few months. I've not spoken much about it openly but I do need to say a massive thank you.
Christmas preparations obviously had to stop for a while but now I'm home it's full steam ahead and with only a few weeks to go I'm starting to panic slightly. To make things a bit easier, while I was a way, a parcel arrived from Hurley headquarters containing my new Christmas stamps which you see here.
I've thrown myself into card production and here are just two very different cards I put together, yesterday evening.
The background for this red card is one of the backgrounds from the Sarah Hurley Kit Club this month, over stamped with text stamps.
The first stage was to spray through a Crafters Workshop stencil and this grid pattern was perfect for the look I wanted to achieve.
I sprayed with green and added some drops of red here and there to add a little extra colour.
Once that was dry, I stamped the wreath from the latest Kit Club parcel, on every other square and the phrase which goes with it in red in between.
Before I left for England I'd created a similar sheet with different stamps which I'll use later. The spots of colour were added with Promarkers as the alcohol pens don't react with the water based sprays.
I've decided to give away a set of my Christmas stamps. All you have to do is leave me a comment and next sunday 15th December, I'll pick a winner .
If you want to join in Sarah's challenge then visit the blog here. To see the other Special Editions stamps by me you can find them here.
Lots of love to you all and good luck.
